What is it? Antioch is the High School Catholic Youth Ministry at St. Alphonsus for all youth in grades 9-12. So if you're in high school, you'll want to come see us on Sunday!
It's faith in action.
Faith doesn't just happen at Mass. Come learn and participate in Bible studies, crazy activities (We're not lying ... they are crazy!), high quality retreats and super fun events (The Coffee House). That's just the basics, because what tops it all off is our coming together in fellowship to grow and develop as followers of Jesus Christ. We walk with you on your journey in understanding who you are in the midst of family, neighbor, Church, and God. We provide all the resources available to continue the process of learning and growing as a believer of Christ.
It's community.
Strong quality friendships are very important for any high school student. Through Antioch, students will be able to hang and visit with one another, build friendships, and even pray together. Not only will your hunger for Christ be fed, but you, in turn will have ample opportunity to be Christ for others! We even have our youth invite friends from school to come hang out at some of our events ... it's that much fun!
It's strong faith.
Making Christ the center of our lives is the goal. We are committed to deepening our youth's faith through prayer, Eucharistic adoration, engaging talks and open sharing with one another in an effort to empty themselves for Christ to fill them. It is a time for you to find Jesus, welcome Him into your lives and build a daily relationship with Him.
When do we meet? Sunday evenings, beginning September 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Weitzel Hall.
How do we sign up? Register below than jump ahead and follow instructions for completing the enrollment fee.
We look forward to our returning high school youth and all those who will be experiencing Antioch for the first time!
